Our Workshop

Three areas. One demand: Quality.

Behind every BWD product is more than just an order.
Here, experience, technology, material understanding, and a true commitment to quality come together.

With over 18 years of experience in a printing shop, where precision, color control, material behavior, and consistent quality are crucial every day, we bring knowledge that goes far beyond normal sales.

We know: A good result is not accidental – but comes from control, experience, and clean processes.

Experience from real production

Anyone who has worked for many years in a production environment develops a different eye for quality.

Even small differences in:

  • Material surfaces
  • Structure
  • Processing
  • Tolerances
  • Color and contrast effect
  • Durability
  • Repeatability

can ultimately decide between "average" or "strong."

Exactly this mindset flows into every project today.

Precision area

For engravings, intricate work, watch details, and quality control.

Slate Slabs & Material Tests

Not every slate slab is the same.

Differences in surface, density, layering, or structure significantly influence engraving, contrast, and the final result.

Therefore, new batches are regularly checked. Depending on the material, samples are tested or individual products are used for assessment.

We source our slate slabs – depending on availability and quality – from various sources, including Holland, Germany, or selected dealers.

We don't blindly buy based on the lowest price, but on the best result.

Creative studio

This is where designs, digital concepts, NFC solutions, and individual customer ideas are created.

NFC Products & Selection

We don't leave NFC products to chance either.

Several manufacturers and different products were tested – especially regarding:

  • Writability
  • Reliability
  • Range
  • Suitability for everyday use
  • Material feel
  • Durability

Only when a product proves itself in everyday use is it offered.

Just because something is cheaply available doesn't automatically mean it's good enough for our customers.

Workshop

For material processing, preparation, custom work, and genuine craftsmanship.

Tools & Precision

Depending on the task, different tools and aids are used:

  • Magnifying glasses & thread counters
  • Digital PC microscope
  • Measuring tools
  • Watchmaker tools for fine work
  • Laser technology
  • Test materials
  • Cleaning and finishing products

Many details only become apparent upon closer inspection – and that's precisely where quality is decided.

We also say no

Not every idea can be implemented meaningfully on every material.

Therefore, we are also honest when something:

  • doesn't make technical sense
  • isn't visually appealing
  • wouldn't be durable
  • doesn't meet our standards

Better an honest "no" than a product we don't stand behind.

We don't sell everything – only things we believe in.

Ongoing Tests & Improvements

We regularly test new materials, surfaces, techniques, and products.

Some tests may seem unnecessary at first glance – but often provide exactly the insights that later make all the difference.

Because only those who try, compare, and question can improve.

Our Expectation

Every product should not only be sold, but also shipped with a good feeling.

Clean work, honest advice, and visible quality take precedence over quick solutions for us.

BWD – Quality begins where others have already finished.
